My gym has been slower than usual for this time of year - I’m starting to become self-conscious and think that everyone is excluding me on some new, secret, fun resolution and they’re all just off together having fun without me. So this is me pretending that possibility doesn’t bother me.

These photos were taken almost exactly three years apart - it’s the difference between 107lbs and 136lbs. I was the smallest (and also the weakest) I had ever been, having weird health problems and bouts of dizziness whenever I laid down.

So I started spending 1-2 hours at the gym almost everyday, mostly because I was so frustrated about not understanding what was going on with my body and needed to feel in control of something.

Three years later, it’s one of my favorite parts of the day. I don’t have any mystery health issues making life difficult. I found a supportive gym family who I enjoy spending time with & while I may have ripped through five pairs of jeans (which was pretty hard to swallow at first) and despite what tv says I still have trouble with certain jars, it’s a hilarious reminder that it’s all paid off.
