Prior to real estate, she worked in the private jewelry industry in Miami, then went into the family fabric business in Colombia, ultimately owning and managing her own retail fabric store in Cali catering to the designer and high-end market. She is currently the company’s overseas buyer and exporter in New York City. Fluent in Spanish and English, Monica was born in Colombia and raised in Jericho, NY from age seven. She returned to Colombia for high school then attended Richmond College in London with a focus on Pre-engineering. Monica went on to earn a Gs Geological Sciences degree from Columbia University with an emphasis in Mineralogy, and is a GIA Graduate in Diamonds and Colored Stones. She has built strong customer and business relationships in all her industries due to her effectiveness as a problem solver, organizer and results-driven entrepreneur. An Upper East Side resident with her children, Monica loves her neighborhood and has owned an investment property there for over 22 years.
