I have to comment about this

So this new penn district development that some politicians and developers want simply pushed through..even against the wishes of the neighborhood and community board.

They are trying to push high end development in an area that does not need it. Developers are trying to use their political connections to basically create a money grab for both them and the politicians both local and state who are going to jump on board to line their pockets yet again.

My self and many business are right across the street on 33rd street, and this plan would demolish our building claiming the neighborhood is a blighted neighborhood, even though our building has recently gone through major renovation, and displace many small businesses. not just on our block but in the surrounding neighborhood, and replace affordable office space with outrageously expensive new space that is truly not need and will probably remain vacant for a while ( guess vacant new buildings are not considered blighted) forcing many small businesses out of business.
