It’s been just about 2 months since stepping in as CEO of this office… and something happened this week that stuck with me in a way I didn’t expect.
I cold-called someone I had never met before. No relationship. No history. Just a conversation.
A few days later… she shows up with a bottle of wine. Not just any bottle — something thoughtful, elevated, easily $100+ on a restaurant list.
Let that sink in.
I didn’t send a gift.
I didn’t close a deal with her.
I didn’t “earn” it in the traditional sense.
She did it because of how she felt after one conversation.
And I’ve been thinking about that nonstop.
Because that’s the real business.
That’s the part you can’t fake, script, or automate.
How you make people feel.
How you show up.
How you carry yourself when nobody owes you anything.
Sasha — thank you. That gesture meant more than you probably realize. It wasn’t about the bottle. It was about the intention, the class, the awareness.
That’s rare.
And it reminded me why I love what I do.
Recruiting isn’t just about numbers, splits, or production.
It’s about connection. Energy. Presence. Impact.
Two months in… and I’m already seeing what happens when you lead from that place.
This is just the beginning.
