The Financial District offers so much value! This part of Manhattan is frequently overlooked because of its history. But it has transformed very quickly into a full-service residential neighborhood. The apartments are quite spacious with high ceilings, high-end fixtures and amenities, not to mention easy commuting, and a quieter atmosphere—while still being close to the energy of downtown. Love Story is certainly bringing back a 90s resurgence. When I think of the 90s I think of Florents where I celebrated many birthdays. It was the only place open in the meat packing district, amidst the trannies and rats. And yes, a full course dinner with drinks (plural) was maybe $40 tops.

JFK Jr. purchased his top-floor Tribeca loft in 1994 for $700,000. The 2,700-square-foot apartment later sold for $4.2 million in 2008. The residence offered two to four bedrooms, two full baths, and a high-end kitchen equipped with a Miele cooktop, a Sub-Zero refrigerator, and custom cabinetry.
It was a far cry from the grand Fifth Avenue home where he was raised. There was no doorman to shield him from paparazzi. But that was John. A true New Yorker, he rode the subway like everyone else and embraced the city as part of everyday life.

I can't stop thinking about Jackie O, amidst this week's Love Story obsession. This is the famous "WIndblown Jackie" photo taken by Ron Galella who pursued her relentlessly.

Taken in 1971, the photo is considered a masterpiece of paparazzi art because it captured an unguarded, candid moment of the notoriously private Jackie.
