Italy was beautiful, delicious and so much fun. Both Mt Vesuvius and David were larger and more impressive than expected, granted maybe that’s just the Ohio in me.

The Michelin rated and 1 star restaurants felt like an NYC 3 star. It was also impressive to see how much of that architectural molding was just painted on vs carved.

The best way to test a windows soundproofing is to stand next to it in…silence… for a period of time. Many people do it though only for a few seconds, which is a much shorter time than it takes for us to fall asleep. It’s often not the white noise of traffic that wakes us up, but the random 4am motorcycle or bottle drop.

This apartment has CitiQuiet windows that make it virtually sound proof from outside noise and also keep all the light coming in due to their wall to wall size.

The acrylic AC diverter, if I can call it that, is a fun bonus touch.

Room proportions are a challenging feature to show in photos and yet are some of the most important features for NYC living and sharing a space with other people… and animals. Just think of how many times you have tripped over the coffee table chasing a dog or just not trying to spill a drink.

For this apartment, with its loft like proportions, 16’ wide, we chose 7’ tall plants to help show the scale of the living room. This way the eye doesn’t perceive it to be a standard 8’ high x 12’ wide space.

What you can’t see are the 6’ tall windows facing out over the Hudson River from the 16th floor bringing light all the way to the back of the 40’ long living space.
