Most nights wrap up with me realizing in a panic things I forgot to do, even though it’s all in my calendar!

At around 9 pm on this night - bedtime on a school night - I realized Olivia’s submission was due for the upcoming guitar Master Class taught by (who Olivia’s teacher says is recognized as the greatest guitarist in the world). I apologized and told her we would have to miss this one, but she insisted on doing it.

So I got a sheet from the linen closet, threw a wrinkled one up for our makeshift studio, and hit record.

Maybe we were tired, or maybe it’s because when she’s not practicing her guitar, doing her homework, or hitting her volleyball against the wall, she tells Alexa to play ‘s newest song on repeat while she bedazzles whatever she can…as you can see, the first take was a blooper. But turned out the next one was a charm, and it’s what got her accepted to the class. SO PROUD OF HER!!! ⭐️

I love being a Dad, and I love being a Suzuki musical parent even more.
