We just sold a renovated 6-family in Bushwick. Real Estate is not a commodity, every building has its own story and history, but if there was a single property that represented the general market, it would be 1329 Hancock Street.

As we launch our new business here at Matthews, I wanted to take this opportunity to introduce you to the Brooklyn members and explain how we will be approaching brokerage in a different way. The members of our new group had previously worked together while at B6 / Massey Knakal and each ran their own teams with a specific neighborhood focus. This made each member a true expert in their respective areas, but sometimes led to inefficiencies in ex*****on and team structure. Executors were spending too much time on underwriting, and sales associates were spending too much time preparing marketing materials.

When we made the transition to Matthews, we decided to combine our resources and collectively lean into each other's strengths. This allows us to better allocate roles and responsibilities and execute business as efficiently as possible. Our clients will notice the difference and we personally couldn't be happier with the collaboration. We've learned to appreciate and respect each other over the years and it's motivating to be under one roof for the first time.

After months of consideration, I have decided to take an EVP position at . This period of reflection offered me an opportunity to consult with many industry leaders, and I want to thank all those that offered me their time and consideration. I won't forget and hope to repay the generosity.
