The rental market is still breaking records and now that the mayor and gov have voted in a pied a terre tax that only addresses Coops and Condo but not rental properties the rents will go up and sales will go down.
The new law still allows for people who live mainly outside the city to rent without a tax like they do in London. Why penalize properties from $1M to $3M. These days you can’t find a one bed for under $1M.

The way New Yorkers have paid for the subway says everything about how the city itself has evolved!
