Every great journey needs a moment to pause, realign, and look forward – and that moment was at Drees & Sommer’s Blue Days.

The rides were on pause, but the momentum was real – Blue Days 2025 launched in Stuttgart, Germany with energy and purpose! Stuttgart’s historic Cannstatter Wasen went international, and VVA – Part of Drees & Sommer’s Partners were in attendance.

Last week, more than 4,500 Drees & Sommer colleagues from across Germany and around the world came together on the Cannstatter Wasen – Stuttgart’s iconic fairgrounds along the Neckar River. First established in 1818 as the site of the city’s original Harvest Festival – a symbol of new beginnings, fresh perspectives, and motivation for the people.

Over 200 years later, we’re proud to carry on that spirit of optimism: Where amusement rides usually spin, this time it's all about our future. Together, we're looking ahead – embracing agility and flexibility to meet new challenges and changing conditions head-on. For our clients, this means: a deeply connected team that understands strategy, takes ownership, and collaborates to create real impact.

🌱 The future needs responsibility – and we walked the talk: In partnership with the Kessel Festival, which followed directly after, we used existing infrastructure, technology, and logistics – efficient, resource-friendly, and collaborative in the best sense. ♻️

For more than 150 years, Calvary Baptist Church, New York City has been a spiritual anchor in the heart of New York City. Now it’s stepping into a bold new chapter, reimagined within a modern skyscraper on 57th Street.

VVA is proud to serve as Project Manager on this once-in-a-generation transformation. The new six-story home is designed for worship, community, and connection, featuring:

🔹 A state-of-the-art sanctuary with theatrical A/V

🔹 A gym, volleyball & basketball court, and full kitchen

🔹 Classrooms, offices, nursery, and vibrant fellowship spaces

To honor Calvary’s legacy, the project also preserves original architectural elements—from the historic facade and cross to a 150-year-old pulpit—carefully restored and woven into the design.

Some projects are more than just complex—they’re deeply meaningful.

It's been an honor to partner with Schwarzman Animal Medical Center, the world’s largest veterinary teaching hospital and NYC’s only Level 1 veterinary trauma center, on a transformative multi-year renovation and expansion.

Led by Perry Vella and Kim Beisner, a few highlights from this in-progress project include:
🔹 New hospital wing to expand patient capacity
🔹 Full renovation of operating rooms, therapy spaces & infrastructure
🔹 Upgraded cooling systems & backup generators to ensure uninterrupted care
🔹 Exterior transformation with new façade, signage & civil improvements
🔹 All being completed while the 24/7 hospital remained fully operational

Working in a live medical environment requires careful phasing, precise scheduling, and constant coordination to keep critical services running without disruption.

We were proud to sponsor a table in support Girls Inc.'s mission to provide mentorship, pro-girl environments, and research-informed programs to prepare girls to realize their full potential. Team members Laurie Fausto, Sofia Castricone, Michelle Fede, Kim Beisner, Kevin Gold, Alec Wisniewski, and Mike Petry had a wonderful time at such an inspiring event!
