Greg Mire at Compass

Greg Mire at Compass Greg Mire is a top-producing NYC real estate broker with over 20 years of experience, specializing in residential sales in both Manhattan and Brooklyn.

Celebrating his twentieth year in the business, New York native Greg Mire offers clients unparalleled insight and expertise in both the practical and emotional aspects of New York City real estate. Having purchased and sold several properties in Manhattan and Brooklyn himself, that knowledge is hard-earned and personal, so it's no surprise that he finds great joy in connecting with clients and helping them realize their own real estate dreams. A former actor prior to entering real estate, Greg originally came into the business equipped with a number of skills highly attuned to delivering success and building relationships. For both actors and real estate agents, the ability to listen carefully is paramount. Greg's acting training also honed his ability to be at ease with new people in stressful situations, to adapt to change, and to persevere no matter the challenges. While sellers appreciate Greg's thorough, detail-oriented approach and the deep roster of local vendors he brings in to maximize a property's value, buyers and investors seek out his counsel due to his much-admired low-pressure approach. He has seemingly infinite reserves of patience, and his devotion to total transparency makes it abundantly clear that he puts his clients' interests above all else. Throughout his career, Greg has consistently ranked within the top one percent nationwide and has produced nearly $600,000,000 in transactional volume since 2016. Immediately before joining Compass, he earned Salesperson the Year accolades in his former Chelsea/Flatiron office at The Corcoran Group, and since then has been recognized by Wall Street Journal/Real Trends as one of America's Best Agents every year. Passionate about New York City and energized by the ever-changing, exciting nature of the real estate business, Greg strives to connect with clients, exceed expectations and create long-lasting, ongoing relationships. Greg has lived in Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens, giving him an in-depth knowledge of our city's many neighborhoods and enclaves. "I truly feel as if I am a part of this city. I don't think I'd be happy selling anywhere else," he says. He currently resides in Cobble Hill with his wife and two children. In his free time, you'll find him trying to find the city’s next greatest restaurant, taking in live music and theater, traveling, and cheering on his New York Yankees.

Hell’s Kitchen wasn’t always somewhere you went for theater, dinner, and cocktails.

A few things you may not know about one of Manhattan’s most storied neighborhoods…

And while you’re there, come see our gorgeous loft listing at 521 West 47th Street. 😉

Got a chance to tour the finished penthouses of Boerum Place condominium yesterday. Stunning is an understatement. Both of these residences are five-bedrooms with multiple outdoor spaces, creating indoor/outdoor living in the sky unlike anything ever seen before in Cobble Hill. DM for more info.

NYC’s pied-à-terre tax was recently paused. Now the pause is paused (for now). Confused yet? ⁉️

Let’s clear up what the tax actually means, who it applies to, and the biggest misconception about that $1 million number (or is it $5 million?).

And don’t get too comfortable. It all changes again in two years. 🤦‍♂️

This one means a lot.

RealTrends Verified just released their city rankings, and in our first year ranked as Turnstone Advisory, we were named the #1 medium-sized real estate team in Manhattan for sales sides by RealTrends, and #6 for volume. 🏆

Really proud of what we’ve built and incredibly grateful to every client who has trusted us along the way. Thank you to everyone who has supported us and referred us over the years. We don’t take any of it for granted. 🙏

Twenty-six years ago, I met one of my closest friends. Today, I get to welcome him to my team.

I’ve been waiting a long time to write this.

For the past two years, I’ve probably been a little relentless, maybe even annoying, in trying to convince Matt Morgan to make the jump into real estate sales. Not because we needed another agent on the team, but because I genuinely believed this was the career he was meant to have.

I’ve watched Matt build a successful career on Broadway that started with nothing more than a Polaroid photo as a headshot. I’ve watched him excel in hospitality, where service, attention to detail, and making people feel genuinely cared for are everything. Through it all, he’s always been the same person: resilient, hardworking, endlessly positive, and someone who instinctively knows how to connect with people.

Real estate is a people business. It’s about earning trust, solving problems, sweating the details, and showing up when it matters most. Those are things Matt has been doing his entire life. The sales skills can be learned. The character can’t.

The other thing you should know about Matt is that he’s just an incredible human being. I honestly can’t think of anyone I’ve met over the years who is more universally liked. He’s the kind of person people naturally want in their corner.

I’m incredibly proud to officially welcome Matt to Turnstone Advisory. Some careers just make perfect sense, and this is one of them.

Knowing Matt the way I do, I have a feeling you’re going to be hearing his name for a long time

JUST LISTED: 22 West 15th Street, 7E - Asking $1,250,000

Some homes are special because of the apartment. Others are special because of everything that comes with it.
