Our program is designed to provide students with meaningful, hands on experience that extends well beyond traditional observation. Interns work alongside our attorneys and professional staff, gaining exposure to complex legal matters, client service, litigation strategy, transactional work, and the day to day operations of a modern law firm.

Equally important, our internship program emphasizes mentorship. Interns are paired with experienced professionals who provide guidance, support, and insight into both the legal profession and career development. Through direct interaction with attorneys, networking opportunities, educational programs, and practical assignments, students gain valuable skills, confidence, and a deeper understanding of the profession.

We believe that creating opportunities for young people to learn, grow, and succeed is an important part of our responsibility as members of the legal community.

Many of our interns leave the program with lasting professional relationships, enhanced career prospects, and a greater appreciation for the value of hard work, integrity, and service. Representing the daughter & granddaughter of the Decedent in a high-stakes dispute challenging the validity of a Will & Trust executed by a 101-year-old Decedent, Alison successfully argued that the record contained substantial factual issues concerning undue influence that warranted a full evidentiary hearing.

Goetz Platzer LLP is proud to announce a major appellate win on behalf of its clients who objected to the probate of the Last Will & Testament & Trust of their father & grandfather in a complex probate & trust dispute. The NY State Appellate Division, Second Department, reversed the Surrogate Court’s grant of summary judgment to the proponents of the Will & reinstated the objections as to undue influence.

Last week, all of us at Goetz Platzer LLP were incredibly honored to stand alongside our partner Alison Arden Besunder and her family for a truly special and emotional occasion, the dedication and naming of the Harvey B. Besunder Bar Center at the Suffolk County Bar Association.

The ceremony celebrated Harvey’s lifetime of service to the legal profession, the Suffolk County Bar Association and the community he has impacted for decades through his leadership, mentorship and unwavering dedication. His vision and commitment helped build not just a Bar Center, but a lasting home for generations of lawyers and the community they serve.

What made the day especially meaningful was hearing so many people speak not only about Harvey’s accomplishments as an attorney and leader, but about the kind of person he is, respected, humble, gracious, thoughtful and deeply admired by everyone who has had the privilege of knowing him. The admiration in the room was genuine and heartfelt.

We were proud to be there to support Alison and her family on such an important day and to celebrate a legacy that will continue to inspire the legal community for generations to come.
