Linda has sold over $80M in residential real estate over the course of her career. Linda has honed her considerable skills and knowledge during her twelve years in the real estate business, having come from an equally impressive career as a well-known merchant and marketing expert with some of the greatest names in retailing, both Bloomingdale's, where she was a Vice President and on the merchandise board, and Saks Fifth Avenue.
While Linda is new to Douglas Elliman, she comes to us from a varied real estate career -- at a previous real estate brokerage, Linda was appointed to their prestigious Platinum Circle and Gold Circle and was appointed the broker specialist for some of their broker-managed buildings. She then had her own real estate company for three years, during which she worked on commercial as well as residential properties and acted as a consultant for investor groups who wanted to invest in NYC properties.
Linda is a native New Yorker who has lived in Manhattan for almost all her life. Her unique blend of intelligence, warmth, intuition, and professionalism are at the heart of her approach to representing both buyers and sellers. She's bought and sold three of her own cooperative apartments in Manhattan, and acted as the general contractor on two of her own designed renovations. She has raised a son in Manhattan and so has gone through the rigorous, and often unsettling, process of applying to private schools in Manhattan - not unlike the equally rigorous process of preparation for and presentation to the Boards of Directors of cooperative apartments in Manhattan - a process she herself has been through three times!
Linda is also a spiritual minister, and offered her services as a Red Cross volunteer chaplain, working at the armory with the September 11th victims' families immediately following the tragedy. Her thoughtfulness, empathy, and dedication to the highest good in all that life offers serves everyone with whom she comes into contact.
