Architects, Not Agents.

Most boutique fitness brands expand the same way: a market looks like it's hot, a gets called in and comes back with the available spaces, and before the hard questions get asked, there's a lease on the table.

RTR Pilates did it differently.

Instead of picking a market on instinct, they brought SABRE in first to pressure-test the business, map the right customer, and let the data reveal where to go next.

Philadelphia wasn't a hunch. It was the answer.

That's the difference between opening locations and actually scaling.

Read how SABRE helped RTR build the framework for 20+ studios, starting with the conversation most brands avoid.

Before the Las Vegas convention halls filled up for , SABRE hosted a driven group of commercial real estate advisors from across the country for a different kind of networking event. ⚡️

Hosted by Jay Siano and along with Sofia Demski of , the conference kicked off with a private ICSC class at the brand-new Henderson studio alongside some of the top retail real estate professionals in the business.

The room was filled with brokers, developers, and industry leaders who understand that high performance doesn’t start in the boardroom — it starts with discipline, energy, and showing up before the first meeting of the day.

Big thanks to and Heidi Blesy, VP of Development, for welcoming the CRE community into such an incredible new studio.

Retail’s next chapter is being built around experience, intelligence, and scarcity.

Fitness-driven mixed-use projects are replacing urban blight. AI is making physical stores more operationally critical — not less. Open-air retail availability is tightening, giving landlords renewed leverage as retailers compete harder for premium space. And across the industry, the service economy continues reshaping what consumers expect from brick-and-mortar environments.

The future of retail isn’t just about shopping anymore. It’s about lifestyle, fulfillment, wellness, community, and data-powered experiences all converging into one physical ecosystem.

Everlane isn't a sustainability story that lost its soul. It is a business sitting on roughly $90M in debt that ran out of runway. Shein didn't kill the brand. It just bought the wreckage.

A brand claiming to die on the hill of "radical transparency" created a beautiful following. But it turns out you can't create a business around a customer who shouts on IG that they'll pay a premium for their values… and then quietly buys the $8 tee anyway.

65% of customers say they'll buy sustainable. 26% actually do. (HBR, 2019) đź‘€

In the end, Everlane is a business before it's a cause. Debts come due, investors want out, and Shein slid in with an exit offer, soul optional.

So tell us 👇 Can you actually build a business on a cause in 2026? Or is "sustainable" just vibes until the debt comes due? 🍿

Most brokers came to Vegas armed with business cards, LinkedIn talking points, and the same transactional playbook everyone else seems to follow.

We came for something different.
Not just to network — to connect.

While much of the industry was bouncing between parties, scrolling market reports, or touring deals from behind a screen, the SABRE team was co-hosting workouts at some of the hottest emerging fitness concepts, hitting the cold plunge before the convention floor opened, and having real conversations with operators, founders, and brands face-to-face.

And while the Vegas trail hikes may not have happened this year, the mindset behind them still did: get out from behind the desk, step into the experience, and actually walk the walk alongside the people shaping the future of the industry.

Because you don’t build meaningful relationships through algorithms, ChatGPT prompts, or LinkedIn comment sections. You build them through shared experiences, honest conversations, movement, wellness, and showing up in real life.

Data tells you where the market has been. Real human connection tells you where it’s going.

Hailey Bieber says pilates is dead.

She's half right.

Pilates as a modality? Totally Thriving.
Pilates as a vibe with a logo? On borrowed time.

For a while, you could open an IG-worthy studio, throw in some reformers, create a vibe, and people showed up because the category itself was booming. But consumers are changing, and what is trendy just isn't enough anymore.

Boutique fitness memberships are expensive and people are getting far more discerning with their money and their bodies. Clients expect expertise. They expect to walk out stronger, healthier, more capable, and more connected to what they're paying for.

Aesthetic alone doesn't cut it anymore.

And we're seeing that in the studios that are struggling right now. They were the ones built on trends, rushed instructor training, and surface-level experience.

The ones that are thriving are going all in on coach training programs, offering progressive programming, and obsessed with getting their clients real results.

Vibes may have gotten someone through the door once but it's results and experience that keeps bringing them back.

What do you think?
Are you over feet in straps?
Or pilates for life?

Retail is evolving fast: BODi is moving from digital into store shelves with expanded nutrition products, Primark just doubled down on U.S. growth with a major Manhattan flagship, Dutch Bros is accelerating its nationwide footprint, and “medtail” (healthcare + retail) is reshaping commercial real estate as wellness becomes a traffic driver. The common thread? Brands are betting big on physical spaces—but with smarter, experience-led strategies.

Every industry eventually meets its next evolution.....

In 2009, Netflix brought in $116 million while Blockbuster lost $518 million. A company with 9,000+ stores eventually became one nostalgic location in Bend, Oregon.

The lesson? Even the biggest brands can disappear if they stop evolving. The market moves fast, consumer habits change faster, and yesterday’s winning formula won’t always work tomorrow.

The strongest brands aren’t reacting to change. They’re anticipating it and moving on opportunity before the market catches up. 🎥📼

Great brands don’t wait for the shift. They spot it early. SABRE helps you do both.
