A wonderful testimonial to your father. I always remember New Years Day when the Kubo's and Okada clans would meet at Grandmas and we would catch up on the past year events and pig out on Japanese food. I always enjoyed talking with your mom and dad. They were both so warm and I learned so much being with them. Thanks for sharing.

In honor of Father's Day, Janice Hillman, MD, of the Penn Adolescent and Young Adult program, had the following words to share about her father:

My father, Dr. Gerald Kubo, was a professor of Civil Engineering at NYU. In spite of very limited financial means, and having his entire family interned in a Japanese relocation camp after WW2, my dad was a successful professor and a true inspiration to me. He would always tease me that his PhD was the higher doctorate!
