April 11th marks the 57th anniversary of the Housing Act of 1968, signed into law by President Lyndon B. Johnson just “7 days” after the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. on April 4, 1968, hence the name of the short documentary…
“Seven Days,” created by Nationwide about the National Fair Housing Alliance, which chronicles the week between Dr. King’s assassination and the Act’s passage.

MLK was Awarded the Nobel Peace Prize at just 35, Dr. King’s legacy, his vision of justice and equality for all, continues to resonate, especially as many observe Easter and Passover this week.

This is what leadership looks like as a leader of the Civil Rights Movement, Dr. King helped drive nationwide grassroots efforts demanding fair treatment and equal access to housing!
