Doing things differently is the ethos behind PROJEX, Inc — so much so it’s even written on the wall of the furniture dealer’s Denver offices. “On paper, our job is to find products to build out interior spaces,” says senior designer Josh Mollman. “In reality, we just don’t do things the way furniture dealers have always done them. Our team has a wide range of experience that allows us to approach projects from a holistic architecture and design perspective, rather than working in a silo. Collaboration is vital to our work.”

Adds senior designer Layne German: “Ultimately, our job is to work together –– with each other and our clients –– to tell the story of how a space is meant to live and feel.”

“At Rockefeller Group, we spend a lot of time thinking about how a project actually fits into its surroundings — not just at delivery, but over time,” says director Matt Bruns. “With Miraluna, the goal was to build something that reflects where Las Vegas is today: more full-time residents, more professional demand. “I’ve been a marathon runner for over a decade, but only recently began training for triathlons,” says associate project manager Katherine Jordan, who is competing in her first Half Ironman later this year. “Swimming, biking and running have become a big part of how I balance life and career. Training before and after work helps me unplug, and gives me time to reflect and recharge. My work in development reminds me a lot of training for this race, actually — it’s challenging and takes time, but seeing the finished project come to life makes all the effort incredibly rewarding.”
