“As real estate developers, you need to build a product that speaks to your audience,” says director James Levy. “What will this renter or buyer want? What will the office or retail tenant want? For The Dupont, every detail of the interior design was so thought out. It is simple details that make it extraordinary.”

“Growing up in Bellaire, Texas meant being part of a small, connected town where Little League was at the center of it all,” says director of design and construction Blake Denman. “Baseball was everything for the first 23 years of my life; it played a major role in shaping who I am. It’s a humbling sport where even the best fail more often than they succeed, and you must keep showing up and competing anyway. That mindset has carried over directly into my career in real estate development: Things don’t always go as planned — you’re constantly problem-solving under pressure while staying focused on ex*****on. And that’s often the best part of this job: The variety and the unknowns that come with each project.”

The inspiration behind the offices at 1072 West Peachtree? The energy — and needs — of the surrounding neighborhood. “Floor-to-ceiling windows maximize the views of Midtown Atlanta inside this highly flexible design, which supports a range of work styles, from formal meeting spaces to more social, hospitality-driven environments,” says TVS’s Kate Lincoln. “This is truly an elevated workplace experience that stands out in Atlanta.”

“His works look like exploded city maps, burned club flyers, and protest posters all mashed into giant, layered walls of color,” writes Ad Hoc News about artist Mark Bradford. “They are messy, political, emotional — and the art world is obsessed.”

The visit included a tour of our Midtown properties and a panel led by members of our executive team, including chief information officer Mike Salz, who spoke on the importance of continuous learning and skill-building: “The more you learn, the more valuable you become.”

Going Platinum: 1271 Avenue of the Americas used 35% less energy than the average New York City office building last year. This efficiency — due to, in part, a double-glazed curtain wall installed in 2020 — earned the property a Platinum LEED certification, the highest level awarded for sustainability, energy efficiency and environmental design.

Mexican artist Federico Jordán-Gómez created a custom mosaic mural for Cuerno — one of New York City’s most exciting new restaurants, according to — using a mix of Saltillo tiles and northern Mexican soil. “It captures the spirit of true Mexican hospitality,” says Cuerno’s founder Alberto Martinez. “A skeletal rider in a cobalt-blue hat atop a bull, tipping his hat as if to say ‘bienvenidos,’ surrounded by celestial symbols and signs of destiny that trace the milestones of Cuerno’s journey, from family recipes by the fire to a dream realized in New York.”
