Welcome, Cohort 9! πŸŽ‰

Commissioner Kitasei proudly welcomed the newest class of Civil Service Pathways Fellows as they began their journey into public service.

The CSPF is a DCAS program that connects recent CUNY graduates with meaningful and reliable careers in city government.

Over the next two years, this newest class of fellows will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced public servants from across city government. It’s programs like this that allow young people to build the skills needed to become the next generation of city leaders.

Congratulations to the newest CSPF cohort, and best of luck as you all begin this exciting chapter! πŸ—½

As New York City prepares for another summer β˜€οΈ, the city is taking steps to protect workers from the dangers of extreme heat. This morning, Mayor Mamdani announced a new executive order to help agencies better protect workers and prevent heat-related illness.

"Extreme heat is one of the most serious risks facing workers across our city and DCAS is proud to be a part of this administration's whole-of-government effort to keep New Yorkers safe,” said DCAS Commissioner Yume Kitasei. β€œBy developing clear multilingual guidance and supporting heat illness prevention plans across city agencies, we are giving agencies the tools they need to recognize risks and prevent illness, protecting the people who keep New York City running.”

As temperatures continue to rise 🌑️, DCAS will continue to help agencies protect their workforce and keep them safe on the job.
