New data has New York City in the 10th spot for high rent increases in the United States.

The median rent cost across the United States’ 50 largest city areas is $1,876, a new record for the 16th consecutive month, according to data from Relator. Rent in the Big Apple jumped up 21.1% in the past year, with the average cost of rent coming in at $1,740 per month and an average apartment size of 754 square feet.

Still, the city with the most expensive rent increases goes to Miami. The city’s rent rose 37.4% since June 2021.
