Beautiful 1 bedroom / 1 bathroom for rent by owner in prime Brooklyn location. University Towers is a full service, immaculately maintained, private gated community on the Fort Greene / Downtown Brooklyn border. 24/7 security at all entrance/exit points and security cameras are inside the building and on the street. There are two live in superintendents, a full staff of handymen and porters, and a management office on site.
The park-like grounds are beautifully landscaped and constantly maintained and improved. There is a BBQ and picnic area, community room, membership fitness center, and children’s playground on site. A new laundry room is located on the first floor. There is also a package room where all deliveries are securely locked until you sign for them.
The apartment is approximately 750sq feet with a great layout, and has had new hardwood floors recently installed. The bathtub has not been used since it was just refinished. Storage space will not be a problem as there are 5 big closets in the apartment. There are 3 huge closets in the living space and 2 in the bedroom. The couch and desk are included if desired (unfortunately they do not fit in our new place).
Fort Greene Park, which boasts a year-round Farmer’s Market every Saturday, is only 1 block away. Close to Metrotech Center, the Brooklyn Academy of Music, LIU Brooklyn, Brooklyn Heights, Park Slope, Clinton Hill, Carroll Gardens, Prospect Heights, and DUMBO, as well as many other attractions. CVS and Red Apple Supermarket just opened 1/2 a block away. The B and Q express trains are only 1 block away at the DeKalb subway stop. From there, it is only 3 stops to 34th street on the Q, and 4 on the B. Atlantic terminal, which has 9 different subway lines and the LIRR, is only 4 blocks away. Several other subway locations are within a 5-10 minute walk, giving incredibly easy access to both the east and west sides of Manhattan via the B,Q,R,D,N,A,C,F,G,2,3,4, and 5 trains.
