It’s another record! In April, the median rent in Manhattan hit $4,241, 8.1% higher than a year ago and $66 more than the previous record set in March.

The Brooklyn median rent was also up, it hit $3,500, up almost 15% from last year!

Apartment 7L at The Broad Exchange Building has been officially sold!

John & Nicole were moving back to NYC after living in Florida for the last few years. We got connected and they made plans to fly in for a few days to find a rental in NYC. After taking them out on tours, they got back on the plane to Florida, in contract on a beautiful condominium in the heart of the Financial District; and on the way to becoming first- time homeowners!

Incredibly, we managed to wrap up the entire process and close within a month, perfectly timed for John & Nicole to make it on their well-deserved vacation in Italy.

Congratulations to both of you!

Of the 180 neighborhoods across the city analyzed by The Real Deal, the majority (78 percent) had higher median home prices last year than in 2019.

Hudson Yards in Manhattan and Sunset Park in Brooklyn saw the biggest increases in median home prices in each borough respectfully.

Losers in median home prices included Park Avenue in Manhattan and Vinegar Hill in Brooklyn.

In some neighborhoods, median home prices more than doubled from 2019 to 2022. In others, they fell by more than half.
