The Jane Advisory was founded in 2016 as The Danielle Lurie Team, after Danielle was lauded as Corcoran’s Top New Sales Agent across all Manhattan and Brooklyn. Five women were added over five years, and in 2021, the name was changed to reflect their collaborative partnership. The Jane Advisory is inspired by Jane Jacobs, whose pioneering vision of urban life centered on the joy and beauty of huma

n community. We share a boots-to-the-ground approach and are expertly skilled at match-making clients with their perfect next home or with the right buyer for their property. Follow us for intros, extras, insights, and everything Jane related and dear to our collective hearts. 💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻

For years each of us have shared our team news amidst our private milestones and daily lives, and we (most of us 🤪) have mostly loved the integration of personal and business that really does reflect the way we work. But we've also been itching for a collective space where we can share more as a team: our buyer triumphs and BTS, community highlights and listing press, our discoveries and celebrations – where we can share real estate stories and insights in the confidence that that's what our community is there for – and where we know we can bring the best of our working selves. ✨

This team is a true collective imagining, the product of so much collaboration and creativity — so we're kicking off an online space that we hope will feel as joyful and as much made-by-us as our day-to-day work does.

Our amazing designer at Compass, Dana Kravitz, took her inspiration from our namesake Jane Jacobs - the urban planning activist who fought to keep NYC for people instead of buildings - and her iconic bicycle, creating a logo that follows the lines of deco and modern bikes — then built on that signature to create a custom font that marries the winsomeness of deco with the streamlined style of today.

She made something so distinctive, that feels so much like US. We are in love!

And speaking of US: of course, we wanted a bike of our own inspired by Jane's — but we’re a team, so we needed a tandem!
