Dear friends and family,

We received great news last week: our team at the University of Pittsburgh has approved our living donor liver transplant operation. We’re tentatively scheduled for a transplant on November 7th. UPMC will conduct pre-op scans one week before surgery, and perform a laparoscopy on the day of the operation, to ensure that the cancer has remained stable and that they didn’t miss anything before proceeding. We will post a follow up update with more details, including the timeline for recovery, etc.
