HAPPY NATIONAL RADIO DAY!
My first foray into broadcasting was in college radio as a DJ and the music director of WUSB at Stony Brook University in 1970.

In 2012, I returned to that same radio studio to host a program highlighting the amazing concerts at Stony Brook University over the decades.

What a surreal experience to be back in front of the very same mixing board that I used as a college freshman 42 years later!

After college, I enjoyed a four-decade career in television and online media, and WUSB-FM has moved to state-of-the-art studios and is now a powerhouse radio station at 90.1 FM on Long Island.

I am most grateful for my roots in college radio!
