Then it’s Pier 25 for a lawn and a sunset, the Whitney’s terraces if you want the view without the crowd, Bar Pisellino for the no-reservations Italian spritz situation, and Watermark for the one sunset you actually plan your night around.
None of it’s revolutionary. It’s just the stuff that makes Downtown feel like Downtown — which, if you ask me, is the whole point of living here.

How to spot a realtor worth referring in New York City 🤩

It’s not just someone who knows the market or has hundreds of closings under their belt.

It’s the agent who knows how to protect the people you send their way.

The agent worth referring is the one who can tell when a repair is worth pushing for, when an offer needs a closer look, when the house has red flags your friend might miss, or when the best advice is, “I know you love it, but I do not think this is the one.”

You are trusting someone with your friend, your coworker, your neighbor, or your family member, and I never forget that there is a real relationship behind every name sent my way.

A ceremonial matcha outpost hidden in a Murray Street plaza that’s somehow never crowded. A Chambers Street warehouse filled with thousands of original vintage posters. An office-lobby bakery that closes when it sells out—and it sells out early. A Greenwich Street cookbook shop that keeps its own hours. A multigenerational tea shop most people walk past without realizing what’s inside.
