One of my toughest days and posts. I lost my sweet baby today suddenly and heartbreakingly. Dumpling was suddenly taken from our lives and the pain is more than mere words can describe. Dogs come into our lives and teach us beautiful lessons and give us the purest and most beautiful love. Dumpling gave my family that and so much more. She was a blessing in every way and helped me through many of life’s experiences. Thank you my sweet angel. I am shattered by this and pray for peace to heal. 02/26/2026.

Today is August 27th and one year to the day I lost my most amazing mother. Not just my mother but my other half. My best friend. They say time heals. For me it has not. The pain is still so vivid and each day I awake to the same gaping hole inside of me. Life will never be the same. Memories of fabulous trips, trying all kinds of restaurants, shopping till we dropped, and loving to watch some of our favorite shows together. Broadway was our constant activity and we saw it all. Musicals were her joy. Being an elementary school music teacher came written in a book where best teachers were nominated and won. Her students adored her. Her family loved her and she was a mother and grandmother beyond description. Selfless. In every way. When she got sick- she fought. Not for herself but for me and my son who always came first. And now she is gone and I’m left with a pain that is indescribable. Mommy I love you so so much and pray that you can somehow still feel that love. What a gift you were. This was one year ago. Ringing in 2024 and as I had always done in my life- celebrated with a great family dinner and my mom was always with me. Never did I dream that 2024 would be the most horrible year in our lives and now, here we are looking to start 2025 and my mom is no longer with me. Even though she was unwell last year, she still shined with her beauty, kindness, intelligence and sense of humor and I can easily say that a day never went by when I didn’t know how lucky I was to have her as my mom. For anyone who still is lucky enough to have their special loved ones with them- hug them, kiss them, call them and tell them you love them. Don’t wait. Life is far more fragile than we realize. And if you no longer have your loved one tonight, I wish you the same thing I am wishing for myself in 2025- some peace and the ability to find a way forward. I love and miss you so much mom. Oh what a night. As a mom of an only child, I cannot express the pride I felt tonight watching my very special son graduate high school. Happiness was felt by all but let’s just say I also needed a lot of tissues to wipe those tears of joy. People describe these special moments in life but I can truly say I have learned how you cannot imagine the strength of emotions you feel when it is your child. I love you so much Neal-Spencer. Congratulations and please be happy always. There is so much ahead of you to enjoy and you will be a success for sure. And your mom will be right there to always cheer you on. Thank you for the past 18 years and giving me the gift of motherhood. My greatest joy.

May 31, 2006. 9:41am. I gave birth to this wonderful little boy and both of our lives truly began. Nothing mattered anymore than you. Today you are 18 years old and the meaning of time flies really hits home. I look at this grown young man in my home and say how did this happen? We were just celebrating your first birthday. Bittersweet is the best way to describe my feelings. I am so proud and grateful to be your mom. You are a wonderful person. You are smart, incredibly funny, kind, empathetic, loyal, level headed and have the world ahead of you. Be happy. You deserve all the goodness life has to offer. I look forward to sharing the next 18 years with you in different ways than the first 18. I love you so very much. Happy Birthday to my little guy. 🎂🎈🎁🎉♥️
