Quick update: While the 89 new properties being reported here (a 39% increase week over week) is an encouraging sign for buyers looking for new inventory and opportunities, it is still down 84% YOY. The reality is that we are a long way from getting back to where we once were...To that degree many sellers will have to adjust to new pricing and buyers will need to adjust to the new reality of how much inventory there is to choose from. Opportunities will exist for those buyers that see this climate as an opportunity to finally see significant price discounts (10% or more) and less competition and bidding wars.

Manhattan’s home listing inventory rose last week, hinting that the market may be starting to come back.
