As highlighted by The Architect's Newspaper, The Village West reflects a dialogue between past and present, drawing inspiration from the Village’s historic architecture through expressive brickwork, glazed terra-cotta, and enduring craftsmanship.

Designed by BKSK Architects LLP, the building reinterprets the neighborhood’s iconic masonry traditions with a contemporary perspective, creating a facade defined by depth, texture, and carefully considered details that honor the character of its surroundings.

Now on view at The Village West.

Pratt Institute transforms the storefront windows at The Village West into a public gallery featuring work by 36 emerging artists and creatives across six schools. Bringing art beyond the classroom and into the heart of 14th Street, this installation reimagines vacant retail space as a vibrant cultural experience.

Rooted in Ayurvedic traditions, OASES is a wellness collective built around five distinct spaces: a café, bazaar, bar, restaurant, and courtyard. The restaurant serves oysters and handmade pasta, matcha comes straight from Uji, Japan, and the bar pours wines and wellness cocktails. The bazaar is stocked with goods from the Himalayas to India, Japan, and Korea, ethically sourced and made in small batches by local artisans.

Right across from The Village West.

The Village West is defined by a carefully considered material palette, with green glazed brick adding richness, texture, and a distinctive character to the architecture. At the heart of the project, the courtyard creates a welcoming shared outdoor space that serves as a quiet focal point, balancing the building’s bold material expression with moments of openness and calm.

San Sabino sits on Greenwich Ave like it’s always been there. Walk in for a martini and end up staying way longer than you planned.

Named after Chef Scott’s grandfather, a nod to his hometown in Italy where everyone shares the same patron saint’s name. The food gets playful from there, Italian classics with bold twists pulled from coastal American cities where Italians settled, from New Orleans to the Jersey Shore.

Just 8 minutes away from The Village West.

The landscaped courtyard blurs the line between indoors and out, a quiet pause from the city. Sunlight moves through the two-story space, connecting the lower and upper terraces through trees and greenery.
