Here me out… 👀

I said what I said!

Sounds like something every other athlete does right?

Let’s talk about it…

Insane when you think about it 🙈

This one surprised me too.

72%!!!! UGH

Maybe we should roll around on the floor too?!

Before you come for me… it can be BOTH.

It’s time we put some real respect on dancer’s names 🤍

Hear me out!!

Like everything in life, there is always a con…

You go from being a big fish to a little fish REAL fast

This will hit you like a ton of bricks

& most of the time there isn’t even a reason, you just weren’t what they wanted that day 🤷🏻‍♀️

Plot twist…

One of the most underrated skills a dancer can have.

Once you reach the professional level, you’re lucky to even get a “good job” 😂

I know it’s easier said than done, but take my word for it pleaseee

I love me an underdog 🤍

Dancers, how many of these are you guilty of? Or is it just me??

Raising my hand to ask a question in class?! It’s a work in progress 😂

It’s 0-100 24/7 around here 😇 say a prayer for my husband

I swear they are not doing the same thing!! Hope this helps

Don’t worry I will celebrate my accomplishment for approximately 1 hour 💁🏻‍♀️

Working on this one I promise!!!

Turns out I am *excellent* under pressure……. when you give me choreography, spacing, a costume & a call time

Forever making things more complicated than they have to be :)

Most are a blessing & some a curse!

Which one do you relate to the most?

One of the hardest lessons I learned during my 14 years as a Rockette…

For a long time, I nitpicked my dancing and tried to find what I had done “wrong”…

It took me years to notice this pattern.

The more I watched other dancers experience the exact same thing, the more I realized it was just me…

This realization gave me so much relief!!!

LITERALLY IMPOSSIBLE

The same performance can be viewed completely differently by two equally qualified people…

It’s frustrating, but it’s also incredibly freeing once you accept it.

This mindset gave me so much more confidence because I was no longer driving myself crazy wondering what I did wrong…

Every dancer deserves this reminder 🫶🏻

This might be one of my most unpopular opinions yet…

I believed this my whole life growing up…

It became part of my identity! Anyone else relate?

Odds were stacked against me, but good thing I did this ONE thing…

Agree or disagree?

Every aspiring professional dancer needs to hear this.

ESPECIALLY if your dream is to dance professionally…

People talk about taking ballet, but no one talks about the QUALITY of that ballet training… quality > quantity 👏🏼

I genuinely want to hear your experience. This isn’t a one-size-fits all convo 🫶🏻

Every business starts with a problem… this is the one I couldn’t stop thinking about. 🫶🏻

I was incredibly fortunate to have access to precision dance training as a teenager. It shaped my career and helped me booked my dream job at just 18!

I also know that not every dancer has the opportunity to travel across the country just to experience this unique style of training.

That’s why Danielle and I created The Precision Dance lab 👯‍♀️✨

We believe geography should never determine a dancers access to NYC-level precision dance training.

This is just the beginning…

If your goal is to dance professionally, hear me out…

& don’t get me wrong, they are incredibly impressive.

I fell into the trap myself & spent years wishing I could do these things too (I wanted to be able to tilt soooo bad!!)

Looking back, these were the skills that actually helped me book work.

Social media has dancers (and dance teachers) focusing on the wrong things…

If you’ve ever felt like you weren’t the most naturally talented dancer in the room, neither was I. Don’t count yourself out 🤍

Before anyone comes for me: I absolutely believe filming can be a valuable tool for learning & improving, BUT I also think we have reached a point where dance class is no longer what it was meant to be…

Today, dancers are growing up in a world where getting content is more important than learning & whether we realize it or not, it is detrimental to their rate of improvement.

When dancers feel like they’re being watched, they take fewer risks & when they take fewer risks they miss out on some of the most pivotal years of learning & growing.

As educators & leaders in this industry, we need to ask ourselves: are we creating a safe & supportive environment for our dancers?

Would love to hear your opinion!! 🤍

Talent isn’t everything, but access is…

This is bigger than us… it’s about giving the next generation of dancers access to the opportunities we were so fortunate enough to have growing up (because the ones we had no longer exist today).
