The NJ house you love might not be the problem.
Your Staten Island house is.
And I don’t mean that in a harsh way.
I mean this:
You may be ready to buy.
You may be financially qualified.
You may have found the house that feels like the one.
But if your Staten Island home is not listed, not moving, or not under contract yet…
that New Jersey seller may not look at your offer the way you think they will.
Because in their eyes?
You still have a whole house to sell.
And if another buyer comes in cleaner, stronger, or further along…
they may choose that offer instead.
This is where people get frustrated.
They fall in love with the Jersey house first.
Then they realize their Staten Island sale was the part that needed the most strategy.
That’s why I’m so big on the order.
You need to know:
Your numbers.
Your timeline.
Your selling strategy.
Your buying position.
Your move-out plan.
Because selling in Staten Island and buying in New Jersey is not something you just casually wing.
The move can absolutely happen.
But it needs a plan.
