For this Tasty Tuesday we are at Bar Rocco by Chef Rocco DiSpirito, located on 48th Street between 5th and 6th in Midtown Manhattan right across from Rockefeller Center. If you’re looking for restaurants near Rockefeller Center that aren’t tourist traps, this is definitely one to check out.

We started with a few appetizers. The Oysters "Rocco-Feller" were fresh and topped with crispy pork cheek which added a smoky crunch and a lot of flavor. The Arancini Nero had squid ink risotto and shrimp inside, crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside. And the Yellowtail Carpaccio was light, clean, and really refreshing.

For the mains we tried Rocco’s Big Italian Burger made with a Wagyu beef blend which was really juicy and flavorful, and the fries were perfectly cooked. We also had the Brodetto di Mare, a seafood stew with a saffron broth that was excellent and perfect for dipping bread.

For dessert they brought out a biscotti gelato which was fantastic. And if you go, definitely try the martinis. Some of the best I’ve had in Midtown. The Smoky Old Fashioned was also great.

Can't wait to go back and try everything else on the menu.

The atmosphere here is cozy, comfortable, and a nice escape from the crowds around Rockefeller Center. Good spot for date night, business dinner, or if you just want a really good meal in Midtown Manhattan.

If you’re in Midtown Manhattan near Rockefeller Center, definitely check out Bar Rocco. And as always, support local.

I have hand picked the top agents all around the country. For example, in Florida I've got agents all over the East coast, West coast and South Florida. So wherever you want to move, just let me know where and I'll make the introduction.

If you find yourself on the Upper East Side, do yourself a favor and stop by Miss Madeleine's Bakery on 82nd Street as this place is an absolute gem. The blueberry muffins are out of this world.

The madeleines come in an assortment of rotating flavors. Each one is delicate, buttery, and just the right amount of sweet. The coffee here is no afterthought either.

Whether you’re grabbing a quick breakfast or lingering with a book in hand, Miss Madeleine’s delivers every time. Warm, welcoming staff and that cozy neighborhood feel make it a must-visit spot in Manhattan.

There is a reason the Modern has two Michelin Stars. The Hiramasa reminded me of ceviche but heartier and more flavor, the roasted young chicken was super comforting, and the brûléed bread pudding is a must try. It reminded me of every great Thanksgiving dessert you've ever had but better.

If you are ever in Midtown Manhattan in NYC, stop by the Modern. As always, support local.

If you're looking for an authentic French dining experience in the heart of NYC, Bistro Vendôme is a must-visit.

The Scallops over Orzo and Porcini Risotto is a true delight. The seared scallops are plump and perfectly cooked, while the risotto adds a creamy, mushroom-infused richness to every bite.

I would also try the Branzino with Artichokes and Zuchinni. Its light yet packs a flavor punch.

Dont forget to share this video with someone who might want to try an amazing French Restaurant in Manhattan.

If you are ever in Sutton Place in NYC, stop by Bistro Vendome and as always support local.

For this Tasty Tuesday we ate at Fumo on the Upper East Side in Manhattan for a friends birthday. Definitely try the pasta dishes. I would recommend the Rigatoni Gamberi, which is a shrimp dish in a pink sauce, or the Rigatoni Salsiccia is a crumbled sausage in a marinara sauce. If you are a baller on a budget, right now, they have a lunch special where you can enjoy their fresh pasta for only $12. If you are ever on the Upper East Side in Manhattan, stop by Fumo and as always support local.

Rosemary's restaurant in Midtown East Manhattan is a welcomed addition to the neighborhood. The atmosphere is fun and fresh, just like the food. The grilled octopus was packed with flavor, the branzino was cooked to perfection, the pizzas like the spring peas and artichoke pizza... delightful, and the pasta dishes are nothing short of spectacular. You can't go wrong with any choice at Rosemary’s.

Before diving deep into your home search in a Manhattan co-op, there are several things a buyer should prepare for. Here are some key considerations:

1. Financials: Co-op boards in Manhattan typically have strict financial requirements. Buyers should be prepared to provide detailed documentation of their income, assets, and debt. It's important to have a strong financial profile and be able to demonstrate your ability to afford both the monthly maintenance fees and the mortgage (if you have one).

2. Board Package: The board package is a comprehensive application that buyers must submit to the co-op board for approval. It usually includes financial statements, tax returns, employment verification, personal references, and more. Buyers should work closely with their professional real estate agent like Jeff Cohen to ensure all required documents are gathered and organized properly.

3. Interview: In addition to reviewing the board package, the co-op board may require an interview with prospective buyers. This is an opportunity for the board members to ask questions and get a sense of whether you would be a good fit for the building community. Buyers should prepare by researching the building and its rules and regulations.

4. Timing: The co-op approval process in Manhattan can take several months. Buyers should be prepared for this timeline and have alternative housing arrangements in place if needed.

5. Additional Costs: In addition to the purchase price of the co-op unit, buyers should budget for additional costs such as closing costs, attorney fees, and potential renovation expenses.

It's crucial to work closely with a professional real estate agent like Jeff Cohen, who has extensive experience with buying in a Manhattan co-op. They can guide you through the process, help you navigate any challenges that may arise, and ensure you're well-prepared for each step along the way of your New York City home buying journey.
