We had to say goodbye to our beloved Kennedy yesterday as he crossed the rainbow bridge. He passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by love. We know you are reunited with your baby sister Brooklyn now-running,playing, and enjoying each other like you used to. Kennedy came into our lives 11 years ago, and it was a blessing from God. He brought immeasurable joy and happiness not only to us,but our family, friends. Kennedy showed us what strength and resilience truly means. He beat cancer and fought hard after being diagnosed with degenerative myelopathy (DM) two and a half years ago. While there is no cure, we are forever grateful to Dr. Robert Jiao and staff at Westchester Animal Hospital, as well as the team at Earth Angels Veterinary Hospital in Wappingers Falls, for helping slow the progression of this disease and giving us precious extra time with him. Kennedy eventually lost the ability to walk on his own, he never lost his spirit. With the help of a harness and wheelchair, he continued to enjoy walks around the block-especially recieving attention from our neighbors. We wish the last few years of your life could have been easier, but we did everything possible to keep you healthy, happy, and safe. We love you and miss you more than words can express.
Always,
Mommy and Daddy
