Congratulations to Edna and Mohamed “Saaed” on their new Detroit home! 🏡❤️

About a year ago, I helped these two purchase an investment property in Detroit. After several years in California, their long-term goal was to make Detroit home themselves—and now they get to be part of the community they’ve been investing in!

Saaed’s work keeps him on the road, so finding something completely remodeled and move-in ready was a big priority. We found a home with the fenced yard they wanted, in a neighborhood they’re excited to call home. Now, when he’s home, he can spend time with the love of his life in the city he loves. ❤️

Work has Saaed in Columbus right now, so he’s missing from the photo, but we’re celebrating them both! They have plans to invest in more Detroit homes down the road, and I’m so happy we found one where they can settle in and enjoy this next chapter together.

Thank you both for trusting me again. Welcome home! 🔑🎉

Making plans as a Realtor is basically saying, "I'll be there… unless real estate starts real estating." 😂

Showings pop up.

Offers need answers.

Lenders call.

Clients have questions.

Negotiations start moving.

And somehow it all happens the one night you had personal plans.

But that's the job - staying flexible and responsive so things keep moving for the people counting on me.

So yes, I might be there.

I might be on the phone.

I might disappear for 45 minutes and come back like nothing happened.

Narrator: They were not right back.

What actually happened in those two hours - the inspector called about something on the roof. Two offers came in on a listing. Four showings got booked for the weekend. And another offer went out before dinner.

Congratulations Hannah & Nate! 🔑❤️

Today these two officially closed on their new home together! For Hannah, it’s her very first home purchase, which makes handing over those keys just a little extra special. 🥹

When Hannah and I first talked about what they were looking for, one of the simplest things stuck with me: she wanted somewhere they could get away from the busy road they were living on, somewhere she could hop on a bike and ride through the neighborhood with Nate's daughter. 🚲

Throughout the entire process, you could see just how much that mattered. Every house wasn’t only about Hannah and Nate — Nate's daughter was considered in every decision, every neighborhood and every “could we see ourselves here?” That kind of love shows. ❤️

Now they’ve found a subdivision where they can settle in, ride bikes, make memories, and give their little family — kitty included 🐾 — a place that feels like theirs.

Hannah also happens to be an incredibly talented tattoo artist who once had a real estate career of her own before following her passion and opening her own shop, so having a former Realtor on the other side of the transaction definitely kept me on my toes. 😂 And Nate is one of those people who just gives you the impression that when something needs to get done, he gets it done.

I’m so happy I got to be part of this chapter with you guys. Congratulations on HOME. 🏡❤️ Here’s to quieter streets, bike rides and a whole lot of memories ahead.

Honestly? Everyone. 😂

Real estate is a lot more than opening doors and writing offers.

It’s coordinating timelines, answering questions, solving problems, following up, checking details, and making sure the right people are talking to each other at the right time.

So if you see me on the phone again…

just know there’s a good chance I’m keeping something moving behind the scenes.

Things they don’t tell you when you buy your first house…

but your agent should:

You’re probably going to panic a little after the inspection.

Not because the house is falling apart, but because seeing every little issue written out in one report can feel like a lot.

You’re probably going to question everything at least once.

Did we pick the right house? Are we moving too fast? Is this normal?

Yes. Big decisions can come with big nerves.

You’re probably going to spend money on things you did not even know you needed.

Locks. Blinds. Filters. Tools. Paint. Random hardware store runs. All the little homeowner things that suddenly become yours.

You’re probably going to have a moment after closing where you look around and think, “Okay…now what?”

That does not mean you bought the wrong house.

It means you bought a house.

There are normal homeowner surprises, and then there are actual red flags.

Your agent should help you understand the difference, ask the right questions, and keep you grounded through the process.

Buying your first home is a big deal.

You don’t have to figure it out alone.
