This was a really cool one — I got to represent both sides on this transaction and was able to connect the seller with the buyer before we even hit the market.

The story of how I connected with this seller is kind of a long and winding one, but the message to all you real estate agents out there is this: KEEP IN TOUCH WITH EVERYONE. The story of how I connected the buyer to this property is much shorter, but the message is the same with one small addition: USE SOCIAL MEDIA.

Every closing is special but some just hit a little closer to home. A few weeks ago one of my oldest friends reached out to me asking if I could help his little sister, Sarah, and her fiancé, Nick, find a home. I have known his sister since she was in elementary school so, of course, I’m honored to help the two of them find the place where the next chapter in their story will unfold! Fast forward to this past Friday when Sarah and Nick closed on their very first home which they were able to get for under the list price!

Thank you to all of the incredible buyers and sellers who trusted me to navigate these changing real estate waters and achieve your goals.

Thank you to those of you who continue to send your people my way — my entire business is built on your referrals and I appreciate every single one of you for giving me an opportunity to work with your loved ones.

Thank you to my team who has helped me SO MUCH this year as my availability shifted and home life turned from man-to-man to zone defense.

And most importantly, thank you to my wife, my rock, , who makes it look effortless as she adapts to the ever changing schedule and keeps my head on straight.

Sometimes in real estate you get a deal where the stars all just seem to align and what felt right from the start proves to be true. After the original owners of nearly 50 years of this Southgate home had passed away, their son and daughter entrusted me to find the right buyer to continue taking the great care that their parents always had of this home. Of the offers we received, they moved forward with the one that just “felt right” to them. Fast forward to closing where the sellers and buyer meet for the first time where they discover all of the personal connections they have through their church and the surrounding neighborhood — all the way down to the fact that a Michigan shaped Adirondack chair that the seller’s son was sitting in a few days prior had been built by the buyer.
