Today is a big day. Walking Out of the Blast: A Guide Through Grief, Back to Life is now available in paperback for the first time, and the Kindle version is free through Wednesday, August 5.

I wrote this book after losing my wife Kim to cancer and surviving leukemia myself. It is not a book about having all the answers. It is a book about what to do when your life gets reduced to scorched earth, and how to walk forward anyway.

If you have lost a spouse, a parent, a child, a relationship, or a dream, this book was written for you.

Kindle, free through August 5: https://amzn.to/4xczZAv Paperback, $15.99: https://amzn.to/4hIgo6G

If this book helped you or you know someone walking through grief right now, share this post. It might be exactly what they need to find today.

I lost a house to foreclosure. Not a client's. Mine.

Here's what almost nobody in Michigan knows: after a sheriff sale, you don't lose the house that day. There's a redemption period, six months, sometimes twelve, where it's still legally yours.

I found that out the hard way, after my wife passed and my income was cut in half. I called my lender, offered a short sale, and they said no in English and in Spanish. Foreclosed anyway.

If you're facing foreclosure, or you know someone who's stopped answering the phone, this video walks through the two questions that actually move you forward. https://youtu.be/nRGlT50SrZ8

Share this with someone who's gone quiet on their mortgage.

Michigan gives you 6 months after the sheriff sale. Most homeowners never know that window exists, and some lose it in a single afternoon without realizing it.

I break down exactly how that happens, and what you can still do before the clock runs out.

If you know someone in Michigan who has been through a sheriff sale, share this with them. It may be the most important thing they see this week.

If you've been watching this series and you haven't made the call yet, I want to speak to that directly.

I know what's in the way. It feels easier to wait. It feels like maybe things will work themselves out. It feels like calling means admitting the situation is real.

I understand that. And I want to be honest with you anyway:

The deadline doesn't move. And every week that passes is a week of your redemption period that is gone.

If you're inside that window right now, whether you have 5 months left or 5 weeks, the call costs nothing. It might change everything.

Quick checklist for any Michigan homeowner currently in the redemption period:

βœ… Do you know your exact deadline? (sheriff sale date + 6 months β€” write it down)
βœ… Do you know roughly what your home could sell for today?
βœ… Do you know what you still owe on the mortgage?
βœ… Are you still living in the home? (Moving out can cut your window from 6 months to 30 days)
βœ… Have you talked to anyone β€” not an investor β€” about what your options actually are?

If you answered 'no' to any of these, that's exactly where we start on a call.

It takes about 30 minutes. It costs nothing. And it will tell you whether there's a path forward β€” or how much time you have to find out.

In my last video I told you about Mike β€” $44,000 in equity, a $5,000 offer from an investor sitting in his phone, and two days away from making the call.

A lot of you asked: 'Ron, what did he actually DO once he knew he had options?'

That's what this new video answers. Step by step. In order. With real timelines.

If you're in the Michigan redemption period right now β€” especially if your deadline is coming up β€” this is the one to watch.

Michigan homeowners β€” if you have a sheriff sale date coming up, or it just happened, I need you to see this.

Foreclosure filings in Michigan are up 28% from last year. Thousands of people right now believe it's already over.

It may not be.

I work exclusively with Michigan homeowners in this exact situation β€” before the sheriff sale and after it. And this week I posted a video that covers what most people never find out in time.

Watch it. Share it with someone who needs it. Everything is confidential.

Your phone rings. It's an investor offering cash for your house.
Here's what they already know about your equity β€” and what most Michigan homeowners find out too late.
Michigan foreclosure filings are up 28% this year. Investors are watching public records and calling homeowners before they have all the information. I made this video so you have it first.
The short version: if you have equity in your home, that $3,000 or $5,000 offer may be a fraction of what you could walk away with if you listed the property instead. One homeowner I worked with β€” I'll call him Mike β€” almost accepted a $5,000 offer. His home had $44,000 in equity. He walked away with $31,000 after everything was paid off.
Watch the video before you make any decisions: https://detroitforeclosureavoidance.com
And please β€” share this post with any Michigan homeowner you know who is dealing with a sheriff sale. They may not know what their options are.
