From fire truck water cannons to beach music under the stars, there is something for everyone!

Here is your official guide to kicking off the season:

📍 FRIDAY, MAY 22ND: Oak Island Double-Header

⛲ Splashpad Splashdown: Opening Day Start your Friday morning at Middleton Park from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM. To celebrate the reopening of the Splashpad, the Town of Oak Island Fire Department will be on-site to "fire up" their water cannons! It’s a huge hit with the kids and the perfect way to stay cool.

🎶 Summer Concert Series Kickoff hosted by Town of Oak Island: The Band of Oz Grab your lawn chairs and blankets and head back to the Middleton Park Amphitheater from 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM. Admission is free, and there’s no better way to start the summer than with the legendary Band of Oz. If you love beach music and a full horn section, this is the place to be!

📍 MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND: May 23rd – 25th
