🏡 Bookhart Village Update!❤️

We are excited to share another big step forward for Bookhart Village, we officially broke ground on the new duplex!

Bookhart Village currently has six units providing safe, emergency shelter for families experiencing homelessness, and this new duplex will allow TORCH to expand that capacity and serve even more families in our community.

Seeing the ground officially broken is an exciting milestone and a reminder of just how far this project has come.

We want to say a heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who has donated, supported this campaign, shared our mission, or helped make this expansion possible.

This next step belongs to our entire community.

A huge thank-you to the Girl Scouts of Oak Ridge for organizing a community-wide shoe collection benefiting TORCH! 💚👟

This wonderful project will help keep reusable shoes out of landfills while raising funds to support individuals and families experiencing homelessness in our community.

They are collecting gently worn, used, and new shoes through September 30. Donation totes are available at:

Last Wednesday, TORCH had the honor of hosting the free Community Meal at FUMC, and what an incredible evening it was! 💚

A huge thank you to the amazing group from Y-12 who generously sponsored the meal and spent the evening volunteering, cooking, serving, and handing out meals to our community. Your kindness, generosity, and willingness to serve made a meaningful impact on so many lives.

It was a blast working alongside each of you! Thank you for helping us share not only a great meal, but also hope, compassion, and community. We truly couldn't do this without supporters like you! 💚
