More words of wisdom from our residents!

What gets you through a difficult day? For Pat, it’s her faith.

Pat says she turns to God for guidance and strength when she’s having a hard day. We appreciate hearing the wisdom our residents have gained over the years and the different things that help them navigate life’s ups and downs.

What’s something you lean on when you need a little extra strength?

We’re back with more words of wisdom from our residents. This time, Ray has some practical advice for getting through a difficult day: stay occupied and find something to fill your time.

Sometimes having something to focus on can make a tough day feel a little easier. We love hearing the simple advice our residents have picked up over the years, and Ray’s is something we can all put into practice.

We’re back with more words of wisdom from our residents, and Jack has some good advice for getting through a difficult day.

His advice is simple: lean on a friend. And if you don’t have one, make one! Jack says there are plenty of opportunities to make new friends here at Sequoia.

We think that’s advice worth sharing. Who is someone you can always count on when you’re having a tough day?

Pierre the Dog stopped by for an impromptu visit this weekend, and our residents were more than happy to welcome him. He brought plenty of smiles, pets, and happy moments with him.

A big thank-you to Julie for sharing Pierre with us. We think he may have made a few new friends during his visit!

Do you have a furry friend who always knows how to make you smile?

Well, we may have found a new favorite!

Our residents made strawberry banana poke cake, and it disappeared pretty quickly. Everyone had fun helping with the recipe and, of course, tasting the finished dessert.

Looks like this one might need to become a regular. What dessert should we try next?

What a fun afternoon with Charlie Saibel!

Our residents had a wonderful time listening to Charlie perform, and it didn’t take long for the dancing, clapping, cheering, and toe-tapping to begin. He brought such great energy to the room, and everyone loved every minute of it.

Thank you, Charlie, for coming to entertain us. We’re already looking forward to your next performance!

What’s your favorite kind of live music to dance to? Let us know in the comments.

We’re back with more words of wisdom from our residents.

This time, Dot is sharing her advice for getting through a difficult day: stay active and find a way to help someone else. Sometimes a little movement, a meaningful task, or simply doing something kind for another person can help shift our perspective.

We love hearing the practical wisdom our residents have picked up over the years, and Dot’s advice is one we can all put into practice.

Look at that smile!

Our resident Dottie was the lucky winner of the gift basket from our Sunset & Sangria event, and she was absolutely thrilled. We love seeing our residents enjoy these little surprises and celebrating right alongside them.

It’s the everyday moments, the laughs, and the excitement that make our Sequoia family so special. We’re so happy for you, Dottie!
