Buying new construction to get a lower rate is the answer for a lot of buyers right now.

New construction sales increased this summer by over 20%. That is largely in part to builders offering great incentives, buy downs and lower rates.

How does the government shutdown effect real estate in Florida?

The answer is flood insurance. Many deals will not be have delays but those buyers and sellers attempting to buy/sell real estate in a flood zone can't lock in new policies during the shut down.
