Thinking about skipping a Buyer's agent and going straight to the listing agent to get a better deal?

It's your call. But here's what most buyers don't realize: the commission you think you're saving usually isn't yours to save. In most cases, the seller has already allocated compensation to a Buyer's brokerage in their listing agreement. If you show up without an agent, that money doesn't come off the price. It stays with the listing brokerage.

In Florida, the listing agent legally cannot represent you. They can help facilitate the paperwork. That's it.
