Big changes are coming to wind mitigation inspections here in Florida.
It’s something every homeowner and real estate professional should be aware of! The state is rolling out a new wind mitigation form, and one of the biggest updates is the creation of a centralized database for all insurance inspection reports. This means every wind mitigation report will now be tracked and stored at the state level. Why does this matter? ✔️ Helps prevent fraud and altered reports ✔️ Creates more consistency across inspections ✔️ Gives insurance companies verified, reliable data ✔️ Protects homeowners from inaccurate or misleading information While this is a great step toward transparency, it also means inspections will need to be more detailed and accurate than ever before.
