Our 2024 Leadership Coachella Valley class is hosting an all district VIP prom for students with special needs. This exciting FREE event welcomes high school students and young adult transitional students (up to 22 years old) from all three local school districts: Desert Sands, Coachella Unified, and Palm Springs Unified.

California Desert Association of Realtors is accepting donations for Coachella Valley Rescue Mission’s Annual Backpack Bonanza. You can drop off school supply items to CDAR until July 26th. The backpacks and supplies will be distributed to children in need before the start of the new school year!

April is Earthquake Preparedness Month.

We are all aware of California’s vulnerabilities to earthquakes, and being prepared for it can make a huge difference in the effort to save lives and property.

California has a new smart phone app called MyShake, which can notify you on your phone before an earthquake of a 4.5 magnitude or higher happens. This is the first system of its kind in the nation.

To sign up for alerts using the new MyShake app, please visit California Office of Emergency Services’ Earthquake Warning website.

If you feel shaking or get an earthquake alert, immediately “Drop, Cover, and Hold On.”
