Starting your home search? Your first stop should actually be with a lender.

Getting pre-approved before you start looking gives you a clear picture of what you can comfortably afford, what your monthly payment could look like, and how much buying power you really have.

Depending on the home, the seller, and the market, buyers may be able to negotiate things like closing costs, the closing date, repairs or credits after inspection, a home warranty, and even certain items that stay with the property.

The key is knowing what’s worth asking for, and where you have room to negotiate without weakening your offer.

Every transaction is different, which is why having an experienced agent in your corner matters from the first offer all the way to the closing table.
