But maybe one of the greatest ways we can honor that day is by remembering who we were on 9/12.

We checked on our neighbors.
We helped strangers.
We hugged our families a little tighter.
We put differences aside.
We were kinder.
We were stronger.
We were united. ❤️

For a little while, it didn’t matter what you looked like, where you came from, what you believed or which side you were on.

We were simply Americans taking care of one another.

Today, as we remember those we lost, the heroes who ran toward danger and the families whose lives changed forever, maybe we can honor them by carrying a little more of 9/12 into every day.

What looked like a simple patch turned into hidden moisture and mold. When repairs aren’t drying as expected, it’s time to pause and investigate—not cover up the warning signs.

🔨 Contractors: If you uncover moisture or suspected mold, stop and call a remediation professional. Without proper training, containment, PPE and equipment, disturbing affected materials can spread contamination—and standard contractor insurance may not include pollution liability coverage.

📋 Insurance Adjusters: Proper professional drying after a water loss is critical. Wet materials should be addressed quickly—generally within 24–48 hours when possible—because mold can begin growing under the right conditions.

🏠 Homeowners: Improper drying or remediation can turn a contained problem into a much larger one and potentially increase exposure throughout the home.
