Cleaning out a few things this morning and I found a 15 year old business card that made me reflect and be thankful for where I am today. I loved this company, I loved this role (and future roles as I took on more responsibility), but most importantly, I loved the people I worked with and built a team with. I spent 25 years there, and probably the most impactful lesson I learned - though it didn’t coalesce into complete understanding until years later - is how fortunate I was to have been given the opportunity to love what I did for 25 years. This lesson - more of an epiphany - is what prompted me to take a chance and chase a lifelong dream, and I could not be happier. I have found “my people” once again, while helping others find the four walls where so many of their life events occur, so many memories are made, so much joy is experienced…it’s a tremendous responsibility, and I value every relationship I build. Thank you Brookstone, for teaching me how essential it is to have passion for what you do each and every day! 💙💚
