This one is way overdue!

🥯 Bagel Review in Mt Laurel, New Jersey

Victoria’s Bagel Bistro was referred to me by no other than a couple that was relocating from out of state. While I was getting them gift cards to various eateries on Main Street in Moorestown, they were trying a bagel place close to where they were moving. And it’s one that I have never tried!

The next week I had another settlement in Mount Laurel, so I decided to give it a visit. One of my peeps absolutely loves bagels, so she joined me.

First impression is that it is extremely busy. It is good to know what you want before getting in line as it moves fairly quickly.

For convenience, I uploaded a photo of the most current menu. What I found on the website was not completely available. That happens more than not. Just keep it in mind.

My friend ordered whitefish on a bagel and I got the Caprese BLT on a toasted multigrain everything bagel. There are not enough words to say how delicious mine was - just thinking about it makes me want to hop in the car and get one. My friend enjoyed hers, but I’m not a tunafish fan, so I have no relevant comment.

I did pick up their chocolate chip banana bread to give to one of my peeps. I’ll follow up and see if it was good. It certainly looked like it!

In summary, believe all the hype. If you like bagels, run don’t walk to Victoria‘s!

Ironic how I moved someone here from Boise who introduced me to a bagel place in my own backyard. So glad they did!

Let me know if you have any suggestions on local eateries for me to try. I’d love to give another local spot five stars!

Planning on painting your bathroom?

Whatever you do, don’t go yellow.

My family owned a bed-and-breakfast in Philly for years. I worked there to put myself through college (along with three other jobs).

My family wanted to spruce up the half bath off the breakfast room. I came in one morning and opened up the half bath and closed it really quickly! It was so bright! Almost fluorescent. So definitely don’t paint your bathroom yellow. I like how the article suggests an off-white that leans towards a hue of yellow.

I’m seeing a trend of wallpaper in bathrooms. Thoughts?

🎉 Birthday Dinner Review in Haddon Heights, New Jersey

A couple of weeks ago my family went out to eat on a whim for my birthday. I had worked all day and instead of the planned pizza takeout, we went to try a restaurant I’ve always wanted to try - Kunkels!

Seafood. That is why I wanted to come here. And homemade pasta. My husband came for the surf and turf - he just didn’t know it yet.

The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. It wasn’t busy on a Wednesday night. We started with the Classic Calamari and LOTS of bread. There were specials which my husband and I ordered from (The Sinatra and Shrimp & Scallops Tuscany). Our teenagers had Lobster Ravioli and Seafood & Pasta. Everything was amazing!

I definitely recommend trying Kunkels if you haven’t already. It was definitely worth the excursion after a busy day.
