Tollway development in Celina could include office campuses, entertainment venues, hotels and employment centers. In Prosper, officials are planning for mixed-use developments featuring retail, restaurants, offices and housing.

A hybrid full-service and extended-stay Hilton hotel is making headway in Prosper.

Full-service hotels are permitted in Prosper by right, but extended-stay hotels require town approval through a special use permit.

At the proposed dual-brand hotel, each brand would have a separate breakfast area but would share other amenities.

Planting is now underway for a planned community farm located on McKinney’s Gray Branch Parkland.

What happened?

McKinney Roots officials hosted a groundbreaking ceremony May 15 for the new community farm. The nonprofit is expected to move to Gray Branch Park later in 2026, where it will have room to expand farming and educational opportunities, according to McKinney Roots’ website.

A potential horse ranch west of Fort Worth bucked expectations last week when it went to a residential developer.

NTX Crowder Ranch Development LLC bought the 487-acre Parker County estate of a wealthy Fort Worth family on May 14, according to county records. The LLC shares both its physical and mailing addresses with Aledo-based homebuilding company Kenmark Homes. The final sale price is undisclosed, but the land was listed for $11 million, or about $22,590 per acre, and it sold above its asking price.
