I'm going to respectfully tell you that's exactly backwards.

Here's the truth:

The United States was financed by foreign capital.

Dutch and French investors funded American bonds during the Revolutionary War. British capital built the railroads that connected this continent. Carnegie, Rockefeller, and Morgan all deployed capital wherever the best opportunities existed — regardless of which flag flew over the building.

America didn't become the wealthiest nation in human history by keeping capital inside its borders.

It became the wealthiest nation in human history by attracting the world's capital — and by deploying American capital wherever the best returns existed.

Benjamin Franklin held foreign financial instruments.
Alexander Hamilton built the American financial system with explicit awareness of international capital flows.

The idea that a truly American approach to wealth means keeping everything inside our borders would have seemed absurd to the people who built this country.

And here's what the market is telling us RIGHT NOW in 2026:

📊 Fortune Magazine: "American Unexceptionalism — Foreign Markets Leave U.S. Stocks in the Dust"
📊 Goldman Sachs raised its 2026 forecast for international markets: 12-14% projected returns in USD terms

Are those pension managers being unpatriotic?

Of course not. They're being prudent.

Here's the argument I want you to sit with:

The most patriotic thing an American investor can do is build maximum wealth for their family.

Wealth that stays in American families gets spent in American communities. It funds American educations. American businesses. American retirements.

An American earning 6% yield on a UK investment property — converting sterling rental income back to dollars — and using it to fund their Texas retirement is doing something genuinely patriotic.

An American keeping all their savings in low-yield domestic instruments out of misplaced national loyalty — and arriving at retirement with less — has benefited no one.

Not themselves. Not their family. Not their community. And certainly not the United States of America.

🚨 Breaking: Greece Just Announced a Major Property Tax Change — Here's What It Means for American Buyers

We received this directly from our Greek developer partner MIBS this morning.

The Greek government has announced that property transfer tax for non-EU buyers (including Americans) will increase from 3% to 15% — effective in 2027.

That's a 400% increase.

On a €400,000 property:
📌 Buy before 2027 → Transfer tax: ~€12,000
📌 Buy after 2027 → Transfer tax: ~€60,000

The difference: €48,000. Simply by acting before the deadline.

This is not a reason to avoid Greece. It is a reason to stop waiting.

The Golden Visa is still active. European valuations are still at cyclical lows. And the window to purchase at the current tax rate is now clearly defined.
