⚠️ Important Update: State of Emergency & Your Contract ⚠️

With the **State of Emergency** declared for our area due to wildfire conditions, I want to ensure my clients know how their real estate transactions are protected.

If your property is in an affected county (including Chatham, Bryan, and Effingham), the Georgia REALTORS® contract provides the following:

* 🕒 Automatic Extensions: All unexpired deadlines—including Due Diligence, Financing, Appraisal, and Closing—are automatically extended.
* 📅 Duration: The extension lasts for the length of the emergency, up to 8 days.
* 📝 No Action Needed: This happens automatically; no new amendments are required to protect your timelines.
* 🔥 Burn Ban: A mandatory outdoor burn ban is currently in effect for all 91 impacted counties.

My Advice to You:

If you have a closing or a deadline coming up this week, don't panic. The contract is designed to protect you during emergencies just like this. I am closely monitoring the situation for all my active files.
