Will Portland's Waterfront Do the Heavy Lifting for a City Center Comeback?

We know Portland is a river city as we cross bridges constantly, but how easy is it to access river and enjoy the downtown riverfront? There are some revitalization projects in progress, including a redesigned multi-use area south of the Hawthorne Bridge. PMAR joined the Portland Metro Chamber and Human Access Project to sponsor an economic opportunity study and public report that will evaluate and measure the potential economic opportunity a full modernization and river activation would bring to Portland. Local politicians, civic leaders, and designers intend for these changes to breathe new life into our downtown.
